The GT2545T Series 2 Traveler Carbon Fiber Tripod, with the 180° leg folding system pioneered by Gitzo, makes more efficient use of folded space by accommodating the centre column and head in between the folded tripod legs. They are now even stronger with the state of the art Carbon eXact tubes, more space-efficient with the compact Traveler G-lock, more professional with the smooth and precise heads, and easier to carry with the supplied shoulder strap.
The Gitzo GT2545T Series 2 Traveler Carbon Fiber Tripod Series 2 tripod GT2545T has the largest tube diameters among Traveler tripods. It is much taller than its predecessor thanks to the space-efficient Traveler G-lock. Recommended for use with 200 mm lenses (300 mm maximum), it is ideal for photographers using longer lenses or requires the highest stability. The feet are interchangeable with Gitzo's optional feet, such as spikes and large feet.
Carbon eXact tubes are stiffer than the predecessors' Carbon 6X tubes, as they include HM (High Modulus) carbon fibre, and have larger tube diameters.
Traveller G-lock is a new, compact leg lock system dedicated to Traveler Tripods. Its space efficiency makes it possible to have taller tripods with compact folded lengths. The Gitzo GH1382QD Series 1 Center Ball Head is engineered and designed focusing on ultimate smoothness and precision of the movement and locking. Despite its slim design, it is fully featured including the friction control knob positioned inside the ball locking knob. The head can be removed easily to attach other heads on the tripod's upper disc, but it is recommended to use the GH1382QD head to ensure perfect fitting of the head between the folded legs.
The Center Ball Head is an Arca-type compatible head that has a separate lock for the 360° panning and another to control the movement of the ball. A tungsten disulphide coating on the ball helps keep the ball movement smooth and minimizes stick-slip. A screw-knob lock tightens down on the included quick-release plate and a bubble level helps you maintain straight horizons in your images. To allow for precise adjustments, a friction control dial is integrated into the large locking knob.
